My name is Kathleen, about 2 years ago you spoke at American Academy of Art in Misha Goro's class, and I just wanted to mention to you that I still think about the things you told us, and it really inspired me. We have different art styles, but you had an attitude that every artist needs. I still follow your blog and I love your work! My question for you, how was your transition to the "real world" after graduation?
Hey Kathleen, Thanks, MIsha is a good friend of mine, and I am glad that he was able to link that up. As for a transition… it wasn’t easy at first. I quit my job that I didn’t like, sold my car to pay rent, and worked construction with my Uncle. Although, to contrast all of that, I moved into an apartment with three other artist friends. That was probably the only thing that kept me sane. Now, looking back, those were some of the funnest times I had.
